Musical Observation

Walking to the train station this morning, I noticed something about myself. I tend to, at least in the last week or so, that I prefer heavy metal or some variation of it in the morning. Then in the afternoon, I prefer something more along the line of punk rock.

Now to contradict myself, this afternoon on my way home, I chose to listen to some symphonic metal in the stylings of Bal-Sagoth. Not bad. I wonder, though, did I subconsciously choose metal this afternoon over punk after realizing my observation this morning? Was it my subconscious attempt at some sort of rebellion against myself?

Hmmm.

I've begun The Color of Water with my sophomores and The Great Gatsby with my juniors. For myself, I'm reading Jason Christopher Hartley's Just Another Soldier. It's amazing stuff.
