So here I go again.
To preface a bit, I had a livejournal during my freshman and sophomore years of college. I cannot really remember when I stopped posting but anyone can easily look it. My livejournal username was KingofallKings, so feel free to investigate that.
Like all of livejournal entries it is pretty emo.
Anyway, I've come a long way since my livejournal days. It has been one year since my student teaching semester. I graduated college in May 2007 and now I am, arguably, a part of the real world. I say arguably because I feel that I have not completely entered the real world. Since I mentioned student teaching above, I think it is quite obvious that my life profession is that of educator. I currently teach in a Queens high school, which has begun the phasing out process.
What "phasing out" means is that in June I will be looking for a new teaching position because the school will not be admitting a freshman class and so will not need as many teachers. So it goes.
So yeah, that is pretty much it. The reason I "woke up" my blogger account is because I feel the need to start writing again and when I used my livejournal account I was for the most part writing something on a regular basis. I have the itching to start writing again but I have been unable to release it. I hope that by maintaining this I will be able to release it. I love writing and I have to be able to stimulate it in some way. Hopefully this will help.
It's funny because when I took a creative writing workshop course during my junior year of college I had very little problems writing. It's a shame I did not pursue creative writing more but if I had then I would have stayed at good ol' SUNY New Paltz for more than the four years that is traditionally allotted.
I believe that is enough of a preface.
I am currently procrastinating graduate school applications just because. I really miss being in college and I feel lonely right now. No, I'm not depressed but I do have to say that I love the social interaction at work and that is missing when I go home.
Oh, and I spend too much money on books, DVDs and downloading music from iTunes.
